Principal's Message

As we step into March, we find ourselves in that classic battle between winter and spring.  Just a couple of weeks ago, we were bundling up in parkas, and the next, we’re wondering if it’s too soon to break out the sunglasses! It’s that time of year when recess duty means wearing both snow boots and sunglasses—just in case.  Students are still expected to dress appropriately for warmer weather under zero degrees Celsius (jacket or hoody) to help protect not only ourselves but our entire school community from spreading illnesses, ensuring that students and staff can continue learning and growing together.

March also brings us deeper into the Lenten season, a time of reflection, renewal, and preparation for Easter. This month, we focus on the virtue of forgiveness. Just as we hope winter will soon “forgive” us and move along, we are reminded that true forgiveness comes from the heart. Jesus teaches us to let go of anger, resentment and embrace mercy, just as He forgives us unconditionally.

Pope Francis wisely reminds us:  "God never tires of forgiving us; we are the ones who tire of seeking His mercy."  At school, we encourage students to practice forgiveness—whether it’s over a misplaced pencil, a playground disagreement, or who got to the front of the lunch line first! By choosing kindness and understanding, we create a stronger, more compassionate community.
